{big boy room}

Yesterday I decided it was time for a little change so I converted Jace's crib into a toddler bed and rearranged his room. I also took out the changing table and replaced it with some toy shelves. I have some little chairs and am planning on getting a little table to go in the corner by the bookshelf. He loves his new bed and his new favorite activity is to get a book and read in it. Along with the big boy room change he is going to have a pacifier change. He can only have it in his bed and on special occasions (like long trips in the car to keep mom sane). He has slept great in it and this morning woke up, got out and started playing with his toys. I didn't know he was awake until I heard one of his toys going off. It's fun to transition to new stages and sad to leave the old ones.

{plowman family reunion}

Saturday we headed up Ogden canyon for the annual Plowman family reunion. Nearly everyone was able to make it. We were able to eat some yummy food, catch up on each other's lives and play a little volleyball. The great-grandkids had a fun time running around together. It's fun to see how our family has grown throughout the years. Most of us (cousins) are now married with little kids of our own.

{uncle jakey}

We brought my younger brother Jacob home with us so we could spend a few days together. Jace has picked up on his nickname and now calls him "jakey". We had a good time playing with Uncle Jacob. We went to Jump On It one morning and rented a game for the XBox 360. We also dragged Jacob around to look at houses and get his expert opinion. Friday afternoon we decided to take advantage of the somewhat warm weather and hit the driving range. Jacob has never golfed before but has always wanted to. He hit some pretty good shots for his first time. He also got to drive the golf cart (which was a little scary at first). We always enjoy Jacob's visits and have a great time with him.

{bbq}

One of my favorite things about going home to visit are the bbq's. During the summer months we usually cookout and have a great time. This time we had Shelly's family and my Aunt Jean's family join us. We actually had some very lovely June weather (it only lasted a day though).Jace enjoying a popsicleJared and Shelly cooking the hamburgersAlexis and AlmaMy Dad relaxing in his "summer" clothes he picked up in Hawaii
