8 weeks and counting...

i had my 32 week appointment yesterday. the baby is measuring at 33 1/2 weeks. jared says i better just get prepared for a big baby. i am hoping she will just come early.

the baby is in constant motion. jace was pretty calm in utero and didn't move much. not very many people ever got to feel him move and you definitely could not see him moving. this baby however is out of control sometimes and you can see almost every movement that she makes. jared says it looks like i have an alien in there trying to escape out of my skin. and we can see and feel her little hands or feet when she pokes them out.

we are definitely excited for this little girl to get her.

Photobucket
from our 28 week ultrasound. she was facing back and wouldn't budge so the only picture we got was of her little foot.

13 weeks

i am 13 weeks pregnant today! so far we haven't had any problems and we are hoping that it stays that way. as for being sick, with jace i didn't start feeling better until 17 weeks. i remember the last day i was sick because it was our anniversary and we spent it in the emergency room with an iv. which means only 4 more weeks of feeling yucky at the most, right?

jace has been having a hard time this past week. he keeps telling me that he is still my baby. he has had a few accidents and wants me to feed him. when i ask him what is wrong he says "i'm still your baby mommy. i need you to feed me and change me." poor kid. i think he has had a hard time with me being sick and is worried about having a baby in the house.

lexi left last night for oregon. we are going to miss her and alma. jace practiced his crying all day for when lexi left and after she drove off he gave us a really good fake cry. he loved hanging out with his aunt lexi and uncle alma.

transfer

one more post without pictures. we left the picture for this post sitting on the floor at the doctor's office.

the transfer went well yesterday. out of the 12 embryos that were biopsied we had 4 affected, 2 unreadable, 1 carrier, and 5 normal. the champ embryo was the carrier. we chose to put in the carrier and the next best (which also happened to be a female). both embryos looked really good and the doctor was very optimistic and excited about them. we froze the remaining embryos.

we chose the carrier because it was the best embryo, it will still be healthy and even though it's a pain who knows where the medical community will be in 20 years. we felt like it was the right decision for us this time.

so now i am lying on the couch until tomorrow. my back is already sore from staying in the same horizontal position. and because my ovaries are still oversized the doctor wants me to stay down as much as possible for the next couple of weeks. good thing i'm stocked with some good books to read.

we head in for our pregnancy test in 12 days. fingers crossed that all goes well. and if we are pregnant it's gonna be a girl! how many people get to know the gender of their baby before they know if they are pregnant?
