pgd + ivf
My cousin and her family were on KSL last night talking about pgd (pre-implantation genetic diagnosis). It was a good reminder to me that after going through the not so fun procedure of pgd and ivf we were blessed with a very healthy little boy. How different his life would already be if he had hemophilia. And even though it is hard, it is all worth it and we will do it again and again so that our children will be blessed with healthy, normal lives.
Check out the story here.
And a beautiful qoute that I read this morning from Elder Wirthlin (Nov. 2008 Ensign, p.28):
"The Lord compensates the faithful for every loss. . . every tear today will eventually be returned a hundredfold with tears of rejoicing and gratitude."

That is a beautiful quote! I'm sorry that you have had to experience pgd & ivf without the blessing of a baby, but just take comfort in the fact that Heavenly Father knows what He is doing and knows what you are going through.
That is a perfect quote!!! I love it! Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to see you!
Oh, I just love this quote. Thanks Jeannie. I had no idea about pgd--wow. I admire your strength.
I saw that! It was an amazing story and I have to say that Jace is so darling!!
That story was pretty cool. And that quote is great. I love Jace's bedhead. It's too cute. :)
Thank you for posting the story- Jon and I enjoyed reading/watching it together and it was really informative. We are so blessed with the medical advances in our world!
