big brother + baby sister

jace loves mallory very much. sometimes a little too much. he hugs and kisses her every chance he gets.

he makes sure that everyone knows to be careful with mallory. when mallory was getting her blood drawn (from her arms - poor baby) at the hospital (for jaundice - the reason why she has a lovely orange face) jace told the nurses: "be careful because that's my baby sister and i would be very sad and miss her if you broke her."

mallory is learning to love her big brother also. the first week she would cry when he would get too close. the second week she would just have a very distressed look on her face. and the third week she acted as if its no big deal. i don't know if she loves the extra attention but she definitely tolerates it now.

jace's favorite thing to do is lay next to her and cuddle her. he is learning to "be soft" and no longer lays on top of her or squeezes her so hard she cries. hopefully this will be the beginning of a great relationship and sibling bond.

and a picture that makes me laugh every time i see it. probably the way she feels sometimes when jace is near.
