Meet Slacker...
Slacker joined our family on Christmas day 2006. Jace was 3 months old and celebrating his first Christmas. Jared and I looked all over for the perfect stuffed animal for Jace that December. We found Slacker at FAO Schwarz in Las Vegas and fell in love with him (and paid way too much for a stuffed animal).
Slacker's name came from, well, his tag. But we like it and it's unique. Slacker has slept in Jace's crib/bed since then and occasionally gets dragged along when we go out of town.
Until this week.
Slacker has now joined the family on a different level. Slacker has to get dressed in the morning with Jace, eat all our meals with us (with his own plate and fork), is thirsty and needs drinks, plays trains and catch (with my help) with Jace, goes to play group, brushes his teeth and says prayers. It's almost like we are a family of four now.
I love that Jace's imagination is taking off and that he has a little friend that is always there for him. It's been fun having Slacker as part of the family.

Cute! I'm glad I got to meet Slacker today.
That is awesome, I love Jace! Don't you wonder what sparks these kinds of things? Imagination definitely, but I often wonder what inspires children to get interested in one thing or another. It's great!
Jace is so cute! I remember being there with Slacker for Jace's first Christmas. We are excited to see you guys in March (maybe February).
He's darling...don't loose.
don't loose it is what I meant to say.
When Paden was that age his friend was Pink. Paden named him. Paden was also the only one that could see him. :)
